From September 14 to 17, 2025, the LUMINATE project was proudly featured at the International Conference on Biofabrication, held in Warsaw, Poland — a city at the crossroads of tradition and innovation.
This year’s conference, themed “Revolutionizing Healthcare Through Biofabrication”, brought together top-tier researchers, clinicians, and engineers to share the latest breakthroughs in biomaterials, bioprinting, and personalized medicine. With a focus on AI-driven processes, sustainable approaches, and cutting-edge fabrication technologies, the event served as a vital platform for shaping the future of healthcare.
During this event, the LUMINATE consortium contributed valuable insights on:
- 🧠 Design traceability and validation for AI-powered bioprinting systems;
- 🧬 Ensuring regulatory compliance through verifiable digital design chains;
- 💡 Strategies for real-time adaptation of printing parameters in arthroscopic surgery;
- 🔍 The importance of reproducibility and standardization in clinical translation.
The presentation highlighted how traceable, auditable data flows are essential in the development of smart, AI-enhanced medical devices, particularly in the context of in situ tissue regeneration. Through its innovative integration of filamented light bioprinting and patient-specific design inputs, LUMINATE aims to transform the treatment of osteochondral injuries with a focus on safety, precision, and personalization.
With its vibrant scientific exchanges and inspiring workshops, the Biofabrication 2025 conference reaffirmed the critical role of interdisciplinary collaboration in overcoming today’s clinical challenges. LUMINATE was honored to be part of the dialogue, and looks forward to continued engagement with the biofabrication community.
